Pay Scale

However, the condition of “ Last Pay & Allowance drawn by the Officer less the initial amount of pension fixed before commutation plus relief etc.” will be applicable only to the pension co-optee retired bank official of a Nationalised Bank and in case of non-pensioner, the candidate will be eligible only for Rs. 25,000/- p.m. together with lump sum amount of Rs. 5000/- towards Mobile, Conveyance etc. Please note that no other benefits or charges shall accrue or be payable.

SAIL, a Maharatna Company, and a leading steel-making company in India with a turnover of around Rs. 51,866 crores (FY 2013-14) is in the process of modernizing and expanding its production units, captive mines and other facilities to maintain its dominant position in the Indian steel market. Bokaro Steel Plant, one of the modernised integrated steel plants of SAIL employing a committed workforce of around 18000 employees is a producer of HR Coils/ Sheets/Plates, CR Coils /Sheets, GP sheets /Coils .Bokaro Steel is working towards becoming a one-stop-shop for world-class flat steel products in India.

        3. Qualification : Matriculation and passed All India Trade Test conducted by NCVT, Govt. of India after completing the stipulated period of training as Trade Apprentices in an Integrated steel plant.
        4. EMOLUMENTS AND OTHER BENEFITS : Candidates selected as Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee will be paid consolidated Pay of Rs. 8600/-pm during 1st year of training and Rs. 10000/-pm during the 2nd year of training. During the period of training, trainees will also get Medical facility for self, spouse and dependent children. Leave etc will be as per the rules of the company. The emoluments for the post of Attendant-cum-Technician on confirmation after successful completion of two years of training will include basic pay, dearness allowance, reimbursement of local travelling expenses and other facilities such as medical facility for self and family, provident fund, gratuity, LTC, etc., as per rules of the company. In addition, House Rent Allowance will be paid only where company accommodation is not available. Also, the Gratuity ceiling shall be as prescribed under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.
        5. TRAINING & PROBATION: Candidates selected as Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee will be placed on training for a period of two Years which may be extended by another two years as per requirement. On successful completion of training period, they shall be regularized as Attendant-cum-Technician in S-1 Grade. MODE OF PAYMENT OF APPLICATION / PROCESSING FEE:

        1. Payment through Pay-in –Slip State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the application and processing fee, in a specially opened account (SBI Power Jyoti A/c No. 31877168126 maintained by SBI sector 4, B.S.City branch), on behalf of SAIL/Bokaro Steel Plant. Candidate has to approach the nearby SBI branch with a printout of the “SBI Challan” which is available on the Application Registration Portal. The SBI Challan printed from the Portal only should be used for depositing the fee for proper crediting of amount in the allocated account. On receipt of the money, the concerned branch of SBI will issue a unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the branch collecting the money. This Journal Number and the Branch Code are to be filled up by the candidate during online registration.
        2. In case a candidate deposits the fee in a wrong account, or doesn’t finally submit the application form with payment details, SAIL/Bokaro Steel Plant will not be responsible. There will not be any other mode of collection of application/ processing fee. Also please note that a certain amount will be paid by the candidate as Bank Charges to the collection branch of SBI in addition to the applicable application/processing fee.
        3. The SBI branches will accept the fee during banking hours up to the closing date of submission of online application. The candidates will be provided opportunity to verify their payment status after reconciliation on SAIL website and edit the payment details in case of wrong submission of Journal No. or Branch Code. No request for editing the payment details and issue of Admit card after closure of edit option will be entertained in wrong submission cases and candidature will stand rejected. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility before paying the application/processing fee and to fill in the payment details carefully.

IMPORTANT :

All correspondence wherever required with candidates shall be done through e-mail/SMS only. All information regarding examination schedule/admit card/result of written exam/interview schedule and call letters/intimation regarding final selection etc. shall be provided through email/uploading on SAIL website. Air India Limited offers great career opportunities to candidates with Minimum Two Years’ experience as Cabin Crew with Current SEP for its immediate requirement of Cabin Crew in Northern Region (Delhi) on a fixed term employment, for an initial period of five years for following number of vacancies and to maintain a wait list for future requirements.

    2. Training: Selected candidates will be imparted training at Hyderabad or at any other place decided by the Company and will be required to obtain necessary DGCA approval on Air India Ltd’s fleet as decided by the Management from time to time.
    3. Period of Fixed Term Engagement: Candidates will be engaged on a Fixed Term contract initially for a period of five years, which is extendable subject to performance of the candidate and the Company’s requirement.
    4. Emoluments: During the period of training, the candidates will be given a stipend of Rs.10,000/- per month. After successful completion of the training, candidates may initially draw approximately Rs.35,000/-per month (both Fixed & Variables). In addition to above, candidates will also be eligible for Standby Allowance of Rs.300/- per Standby Duty at the Airport. The above salary includes Fixed pay of Rs.12400/-, Rs.14500/- as Flying Allowance for 70 hours and Rs.8100/- as Layover Allowance for International Flights in a month. The number of hours flown in a month and International Layovers may vary from time to time and depends on operation of d om est i c/International Flights on Type of Aircraft from the station of posting. The revision of above salary is also under consideration.
    5. AGE: Between 20 and 30 years (Relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST and 3 years in case of OBC categories)
    6. MARITAL STATUS: Unmarried
    7. MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: 10+2 from a recognized Board/University AND MINIMUM TWO YEARS’ flying experience as Cabin Crew in an Airline of repute with CURRENT VALID SEP Book
    8. Colour Vision: Normal on Ishihara Chart.
    9. COSMETIC APPEARANCE: - Clear complexion without any noticeable blemish, no odd scars/birth mark. - Even and regular teeth
    10. SPEECH: Clear speech, no stammering, lisping. Command of the English language should be with clear understandable accent.
    11. LANGUAGE: Fluency in English and Hindi.  Candidates having fluency in any Foreign Language of destination where Air India operates will be given preference.

Selection Procedure for Air India  - Cabin Crew Post: 

    1. Written Test will be held on 04/01/2015 & 05/01/2015.
    2. Shortlisted candidates will undertake face to face interview.
    3. Dates are yet to be announced for the final selection

Candidates are required to bring with them:

    1. A duly filled in Application Form in the prescribed format which is available on this Website
    2. A recent passport size photograph pasted in the space provided in the Application Format
    3. One set of photocopies of supporting testimonials for date of birth, caste, qualification, experience (such as Appointment Letter, Photo Identity Card etc.) along with ORIGINALS
    4. One set of photocopies of Training Proficiency Record Book and SEP Book along with ORIGINALS
    5. A Medical Certificate from a registered Medical Practitioner stating therein their Height, Weight, BMI and Colour Vision. Those using contact lenses will also be required to bring a certificate from an Ophthalmologist giving therein the power of lenses. Candidates, who have undergone lasik surgery for correction of eyesight, will be required to bring a Certificate from an Ophthalmologist/supporting documents indicating therein the date on which, they have undergone for lasik surgery.
    6. At the time of Walk-in-interview, candidates will be required to bring two POST-CARD size FULL LENGTH photographs (One-Front View and another-Side View). The dress code prescribed for these photographs is SAREE for Female candidates and formal attire for Male candidates.
    7. Applications, which are incomplete/mutilated or without any of the supporting documents with regard to eligibility criteria including height, weight, BMI & vision and Caste (if applicable), will not be accepted and such candidates will not be allowed to appear for the Walk-ininterviews.
    8. Candidates, who are presently flying will be required to bring appointment letter, Photo Identity Card, Training Proficiency Record Book, SEP Book, etc. issued by their present employer for verifying the experience details. Those, who are grounded and not working presently, will be required to also bring their relieving/ resignation letter along with above documents.
    9. Though candidates are required to bring with them a Medical Certificate from a registered Medical Practitioner stating therein their Height, Weight, BMI & Colour Vision and those using contact lenses a certificate from an Ophthalmologist giving power of lenses and date of lasik surgery (if applicable) at the time of Walk-in-interview process. Any subsequent height, BMI & vision check carried out by the Medical Doctor of the Company will however be treated as final and binding.
    10. Candidates from hilly areas, claiming relaxation in height, will also be required to bring and attach domicile proof for the same.
    11. Candidates belonging to OBC category, the category certificate should be in the prescribed format including the “Non-Creamy layer clause” issued by the Competent Authority for employment under Government of India and should be as per the Central list of OBC’s published by the Govt. of India. Please also note that the validity of “Non-Creamy layer” Certificate should not be older than 6 (Six) months from the date of eligibility criteria.
    12. Candidates may be required to stay back for a day or two at their own expenses, if required. No reimbursement shall be made in this regard. However, candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe categories who fulfil the laid down conditions for eligibility, will be entitled for reimbursement of second class return rail/bus fare from the nearest railway station i.e. from the address given in the application to the nearest Selection Centre on production of railway receipt/ticket, as per rules.
    13. Female candidates are required to appear for Walk-in-interviews in “SAREE” and male candidates in formal attire.
    14. Application Form of the candidate would be scrutinised and prima facie eligible candidates will be allowed to appear for Walk-in-interviews. Please also note that the candidature is purely provisional and the candidates being allowed to appear for Walk-in-interviews, does not in any way establish their eligibility for the post. If on screening of their application/document(s), it is found that they do not possess the laid down qualification/experience/stipulated eligibility criteria (including physical standards), their candidature is liable to be rejected at any stage, without entering into any correspondence with the candidates in the matter.
    15. For further schedule of recruitment process which includes, Pre-Engagement Medical Examination, issuance of engagement letter, Pre-engagement formalities, execution of necessary service agreement, training etc, only selected candidates will be informed by post/courier/e-mail and/or telephonically. Selected candidates may be required to join the Company at a short notice.
    16. In Pre-Engagement Medical Examination, if it is found that the candidate does not fulfil the medical standards of the Company (including height, BMI & vision) as prescribed for the post, his/her candidature will be rejected automatically without entering into any correspondence in the matter.
