Application are invited from the Qualified Homoeopath Doctors from any Govt. Homoeopath /
Govt. approved college for engagement of particular Homoeo unit whose particulars are given below.

The engagement of such Doctor should be for a term not exceeding one year at a time. The
maximum age limit of this engagement is 60 years.
APPLICATION FEE: Rs. 50/- by I P O which must be purchased on a date after 20.02.2014 and crossed
and endorsed to FA&CAO/GRC. No fees for SC/ST candidates.
All documents to be attached duly attested alongwith three passport size photograph, one to be
paste in the application form & two unstapled, two unstamped self addressed envelops should be enclosed
along with application form.
NB: 1. Engagement of such doctor by conducting a selection through a screening committee amongst
the applicant in the following manner:
a) Viva-voce b) Professional Qualification c) Experience.
2. The Doctor will be engaged as a Homoeo Doctor by the Staff Benefit Fund Committee of S. E.
Railway, but he/she will not be considered as a Railway employee. His/Her engagement is
purely on temporary basis & on a fixed honorarium granted by Rly. Bd time to time per month
without any allowance chargeable to staff benefit fund. Hence, it should be ensured that they
are not given such privileges/facilities to which Rly employees only are entitled as per rules.
3. No Railway Pass & PTO is permissible during the service period.
4. No Railway Quarters to be provided by the Railway Administration/Authority during the
service period.
5. No TA/DA is admissible.
6. No expense to join the new assignment is permissible.
7. No Medical treatment from the Railway Hospital is admissible.

NORMS & GUIDELINES FOR ENGAGEMENT OF HOMOEO & AYURVEDIC
DOCTORS UNDER THE AEGIS OF SBF OVER SERLY.
1. Wide publicity should be given through the leading News Papers inviting
applications from the qualified doctors for engagement of particular Homoeo /Ayurvedic
unit by the concerned SBF Committee.
2. The Committee Members for Screening/Selection of the Homoeo/ Ayurvedic
Doctors for duration of 04 hrs./08hrs a day to be constituted comprising of the following
officials :-
(a) Secretary – SBFC at Hd. Qrs.Level, Chairman-SBFC & Sr.DPO at
Divl. Level and Chairman-SBFC & WPO at KGP (W/S).
(b) Sr. DMO.
(c) Principal/Vice-Principal of State Govt. Homoeopathy/Ayurvedic College &
Hospital.
3. Distribution of marks on different heads for selection of the candidates are fixed in the
following manner:-
(a) Vice-Voce - 60 Marks.
(b) Professional Qualification - 20 Marks
( c) Experience - 20 Marks
Total - 100 Marks
4. The engagement of such Doctor should be for a term not exceeding one year at a time.
While engaging such doctor under SBF, the Committee may be kept in views that the Board’s
instruction issued vide letter No. E(W)/2003/WE-1/3 dtd. 02-07-2003 are followed strictly.
TERMS & CONDITION TO BE MAINTAINED WHILE ENGAGING FOR HOMOEO &
AYURVEDIC DOCTOR UNDER THE AEGIS OF SBF.
1. The Doctor will be engaged as a Homoeo /Ayurvedic Doctor by the Staff Benefit Fund
Committee of S.E.Rly. But he/she will not be considered as a Railway a employee. His/Her
engagement is purely on temporary basis & on a fixed honorarium granted by Rly. Bd. From
time to time per month without any allowance chargeable to Staff Benefit Fund. Hence, it should
be ensured that they are not given such privileges/Facilities to which Rly. employees only are
entitled as per rules.
2. The dispensary will be kept open 04 hrs/08 hrs. for five days in a week i.e Monday to
Friday / on all working days. The dispensary will remain closed on Weekly Holidays and other
Gagetted holidays.
3. The treatment may be availed by the Railway employees and their family members free
of cost in the Homoeo/Ayurvedic Dispensary being present physically, but such Doctor is not
allowed to issue any sick & fit certificate in favour of the Railway employees even on demand.
Private practice may be permitted, but not hampering the normal duty for which the doctor is
engaged in the Railway. House visit may be made when called upon to attend sick family
members of Rly. employees at their residence in the Rly. Colony for treatment and no fee is
chargeable.

4. The maximum age limit of this engagement is 60 years, but their service may be
terminated at any time before attaining the age of 60 years on 14 days’ notice on
either side. The Staff Benefit Fund Committee will not be bound to assign any
reason for such termination and this power may be exercised by the
Chairman/SBFC and the Doctor will reserve no right to challenge the orders of
Staff Benefit Fund Committee to this effect in any Court of Law.
5. A certain amount will be released as Grant from Staff Benefit Fund for purchase
of Homoeo/Ayurvedic Medicines for treatment of the Railway employees and
their family members in your dispensary.
6. The Doctor will submit every ten (10) days interval and also monthly report of the
patients who are availing treatment from the Homoeo/Ayurvedic Dispensary, to
the office of the Chairman-SBFC regularly.
7. No Railway Pass & PTO is permissible during the service period.
8. No Railway Quarters to be provided by the Railway Administration / Authority
during the service period
9. No TA / DA is admissible.
10. No expenses to join the new assignment is permissible.
11. No Medical treatment from the Railway Hospital is admissible.
12. Only 08 (Eight) days Casual Leave in a year is permissible and no other kind of
leave is admissible.
